From Bernie Schaeffer

As we approach the end of this year, I can't help feeling as though we're moving toward another conclusion ... the end to the current market rally. The move into 2005, combined with all of the optimistic forecasts for the upcoming year, would be a perfect time for a top. Struggling corporate earnings, a dropping dollar, rising interest rates, burgeoning consumer debt, and historically low volatility readings are all beeping incessantly on my market radar at the current juncture. In fact, I think the market's only real asset at this point is sheer momentum. And if that wanes, it's curtains time for the bulls.
