"Bush task force opposes Rx drug imports"

That is very very good news indeed. As a Canadian I have been needlessly worried that our drug supply would become overextened in trying to supply the States, and possibly resulting in price increases.

But I didn't realize how "unsafe" our drugs are. There ought to be an inquiry. Why are we importing unsafe drugs from the US anyway? Maybe we should ban all US drugs & get them from say Germany? What a hoot!

US pharmaceuticals have such a grip on US politicians and president. Unbelievable! I ordered generic medicine from Mexican pharma and it was stopped at the border, never delivered to me. The explanation is the same, there is inadequate labeling and "no assurance of safety". It is as if sick citizens of Mexico have been and are dying all over the place because Mexican pharmaceutical companies are selling bad medicine. For same reasoning, Canadians are and have been flopping all over the place because Canadian manufactured medicines are unsafe. What a crock! - people all over the world, including Europe, are flopping all over the place because non-US made medicines are bad. But of course the majority of Americans believe it.
