Ivy Baker Priest-- now that's a NAME.
I am big on middle names. They add weight and gravitas.
The boys have family names for their middle names which is Southern but I also just like it. CW's whole name is so long it won't fit in the little boxes on standardized tests and for some reason they took the first initial of his middle name-A- and added it to his first name, turning him into a girl for all his school years.
WHen Ammo hit kindergarten and we praised him for learning to spell his name (Adam), CW was incensed at the unfairness.
"Big deal. How hard is Adam? It has four letters! Mine had nine. It was a lot harder."

I have a friend whose son is dating a girl who goes by initials, which is always kind of cute. Only when my friend found out what the initials stood for, she was horrified. It was a very 60s type name. Remember when people named their kids things like Moon and River and Flower and Patchouli? The girlfriend has two of them.
My friend is already panicking about the wedding invitations and what her friends will think and, being a very lovely person, she feels terrible about her pettiness.
But I understand.
At least they don't end in "i"s I said, trying to help her see the bright side.
