"Investing" is certainly not what anyone below the rank of VP-Sales of a biotech

If you go look at the 2004 Charity Portfolio competition results you'll see just how well SI folks did with a portfolio of biotech stocks this year (at least eight stocks, no more than 20% in any one stock). I ended up plus about 33% for the year, and I don't think I placed in the top ten. (Unfortunately we lost the portfolio feature in the new SI so you have to check results by hand). Biotech Jim, the winner, ended up with about a double for the year, and that was for a year when the biotech indices weren't a whole lot better than flat.
