What I hate playing: electric keyboards.

Ah, a purist. I respect that! For me playing an electronic keyboard is kind of like ice cream for the mind -- not necessarily good for you, but sure tastes great. (G)

I'm basically an over paid graphic designer (have had my own business since 1974). And still at it. When I bought my first IBM PC in 1981 and then my first Mac in early 85, I knew the impact on the graphic arts would be profound.

And, as the kids were going through their music training, I naturally became curious with what was taking place in that arena. As you know, keeping youngster's interest level high during those early years, is the key.

Wound up buying the our boy (the youngest and arguably had the best feel) a Yamaha keyboard product. He still uses it, along with an acoustic guitar and the piano wherever he can play with one.

In the process (along with everything else digital) I have learned that there is a place for all mediums, but with a very important caveat; the analog universe is growing smaller and smaller with rapid speed.

My concern, is that the world of music will be there soon.
