Thanks a lot for that introduction to the National Acadamies Press online book service. It looks like there's a lot of byways of science and engineering to explore there. :)

As to my skepticism about deep ocean CO2 sequestration, there was nothing in that chapter that you provide which leads me to the conclusion that this is a viable, or even a sensible, thing to do.

The author mentions cost in one brief sentence, and then utterly brushes off the issue, as many 'gee-willikers-what-can-we-do-now?' scientists are prone to do.

What would an Ivory Tower look like if inverted and deeply submerged? :)
