Grace, I am a member of one. I don't belong to the best one, which is the AMA. And the industries are not going bankrupt because of unions. There are plenty of scab cos. going belly up, too. Capitalism is a tough game. Worldcom, Enron, Adelphia, etc. didn't have union problems, they had mgt. problems. Good unions may have helped keep those crooks from totally ruining their cos. Nah, all the crap about unions being a problem is simply more right wing propaganda trying to keep workers down while CEOs are paid (I didn't say earned <G>) 400 times the average worker's salary.
