Pennsaid works for some people, but it has lots of competition, little market penetration and visibility, little marketing, no patent protection and no visible commpetent sponsorship by a big pharma that could give it a few of the afore mentioned attributes. The FDA wants more information about how it works and its long term safety profile. At best the FDA will not approve for use in the U.S. until late 2007 or early 2008. Can you wait that long?
