I hope you didn't become alarmed by this trend only because jobs at your level started to go away. I suspect though, that for most people they need to feel threatened to do anything about this trend (which is VERY DAMAGING to the long term health of the USA). I would be happy to get these visas shut down and the tax incentives stopped. That would fix a HUGE amount of problems. The trend I see around me here is companies use these visas to bring people here for a few mos, "train them" (which violates the purpose of the visas, which was supposed to bring TOP TALENT here- not export our knowledge) and then ship them home to do the work. Enough of this.
