How do you like King David? Wasn't he the one who sent his general into the thick of the battles to get him killed so that King David could take the dead general's wife?

Actually, FWIW, it wasn't a general, it was a poor shepard with no military training. David lusted after the poor guy's wife, had him drafted and sent to the front lines, where he was, predictably, killed soon thereafter.

David was later called on this by Nathan, and had to do some penance, but he wasn't forced to give up Bathseba, who ended up fathering his favorite son, Solomon.

I have to tell you right now, I'm just having a conversation with someone who seems to not be bothered when a President knowingly and falsely trashes the good word of Honest Citizens. I feel what I feel about Clintons actions and if you didn't notice, it isn't the sex that bothers me, but the trashing of the women who told the truth in the end (and perhaps the continued ludicrous blame put upon a "conspiracy," instead of admitting these were honest citizens).

As for King David, sounds like he was a nastier bugger, or don't you think so? Do I run afowl of you to say so?

As for lust, I like it a lot.

What, you don't think anyone should be upset when a man commits murder over lust? Trust me though, I'm not presently upset over King David or Clinton...just having a conversation about why Clinton should have been removed from office, and perhaps why they both should be looked down upon, IMO.

I don't know, perhaps we should forgive all actions rooted in lust, including murder? Ya think?
