Hopefully, since I have the newer version, my battery life will be closer to the advertised duration. I got the auto broadcaster thing that has a charger in it, so that should help me from draining it on long trips. I have lots of earphones, including noise cancellation ear buds (from the times when I was travelling. Those jet engines can be loud).

Along with my iPod, I got the JBL On Stage Speaker Docking Station and the Transpod. I have to say, with the JBL On Stage, I will never buy another home stereo. This thing is tiny and has a really big sound. Shaped like a donut, it is 6.75" in diameter and 1.5" high. I strongly recommend it. amazon.com I love the transpod too. Even if the FM transmission does affect the quality. Now to get all of my CDs onto my iPod...quite the little project.
