Over three years ago, Eli predicted there would be virtually no new conventional camera sales for amateur use, except for the one-time use cameras. His prediction is right on schedule.

It will be interesting to see if there is a corresponding increase in sales of flash memory to all of these new digital camera owners.

Howard, there is no question at all that there will be an increase is sales of flash. The only question is, when will supply outstrip demand, and for how long and how badly, with what consequences for ASPs? Merrill says not till late next year, if then.
