Sounds like you may have a bunch of girlie men in your family. Where I grew up in Wisconsin, we boys 6 to 8 yrs old learned to shoot birds out of the air with single-shot 22 rifles. And catching, cleaning and cooking fish. The girls learned the basic domestic chores like cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc. Seems that arrangement has worked out well for several thousands of generations, hasn't it? Chas :~)
