Hi Egotard,

Hope you and everyone enjoyed the holidays and were NOT on the road or in airplanes anywhere around the midwest! Well, the call was okay but the stocks are rallying nicely over the past few days. Unless legal claims get really bad, I'd have to agree with you about big pharma. I hear Pfizer is selling somewhere around a PE of 12, which is pretty reasonable. I posted to Sig some weeks back that I sold all my Nokia in the mid 16's, although I have been back in since when the stock pulled back for very short term trades. I'm going to watch the NASDAQ with a wary eye over the next few weeks to see if it can hold at current levels. The past few years, each time the NAS cracked 2000/2100 that has been the top and a significant pullback has occurred. Maybe the third time is the charm, but I'm going to watch and wait. Other thought I have is for the very short term, I try to find a solid stock that has had the stuffing kicked out of it, buy it the last trading day of the year, and see if it pops over the first few days of the New Year. I notice that perhaps due to late tax selling some of these issues have a nice run the first few days of January. Did it with EMC a couple years back, and the issue ran from 13 to almost 18 in a week. I'm looking at issues now, don't really have a choice yet. I do wonder if NOK might be one, but don't know how much the foreign factor might affect it's early January trading.

Happy New Year,
John
