THE MEDICARE SYSTEM'S PROJECTED DEFICIT IS FIVE TIMES BIGGER THEN SOCIAL SECURITY'S, and hits a lot SOONER! (They made the imbalance MUCH worse last year when they added drug coverage without funding it... and mandated PROTECTIONISM and OLIGOPOLIC PROFITS for the drug industry

I dont know enough yet about the cost of Medicare reform in the manner of prescription drug coverage to yet debate it. President Bush started out very modestly with the discount card, I THINK its what 2006 before the real costs to the federal govt kick in? In any csse its what THE PEOPLE wanted. The first part was getting ANYTHING passed. Dems TALKED a good story but never delivered ANYTHING, Bush has the ball rolling, now if it needs tweaked here and there or if premiums need to go up a bit then I would imagin thats where it will lead.
Dont know why you are so negative on the economy. Its growing nicely and nearly every economist expects about a 3 1/2% growth next year, which is just about right for a nation of this size. jdn
