Yes it is a jungle out there and any developing asset could be subject to the NIMBY effect. Great call on the market in 03 Russ. I think there are undervalued asset plays out there that will see appreciation. Two that I own are MMM Minco Mining and
Goldrea. Minco I view as very low risk right now with defined deposits of both gold and silver and multiple opportunities for blue sky. Goldrea is far more speculative but owns exploration rights surrounding and underneath an operating 65,000 oz per annum mine.

Ironically, that mine is right up against a town and there is mineralization known to be under the town. The mine operator has done exploration drilling on what has become Goldrea's exploration block indicating 700,000 ozs and they still have around 1/2 mil ozs in the pit. Goldrea has the right to purchase the mine. Now both Minco and Goldrea are in China which I think pretty much eliminates the NIMBY factor. As far as general country risk, that is a different assessment but I am comfortable with China. Anyway, these two are worthy of DD.

Cheers and best wishes this Christmas Russ,
Ogi
