When I was 16 and driving my mother around on my temporary "Learner's Permit" in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mom was a back seat driver as you described yourself. She once screamed, "Watch out for that kid" (1/2 a block away going to a movie theater and my speed was about 20 to 25 mph. As I am frantically trying to find a kid to avoid and stop or avoid him, I rolled thru a just turned red light in the intersection we were crossing at the time. Fortunately, my Dad had connections downtown and the ticket never showed up on my record.

Backseat drivers must be gagged and blindfolded and handcuffed in the backseat.

That happened to us just the other night except my husband gets all huffy. When he asked me why I told him to watch out I told him "because I thought he was going to hit that car he went around with 2 inches to spare." -gg-

PS he's a terrible driver
