Sig-- MSM is based on GREED. The easiest way to be noticed by the powerful is to feed their greed. Going to a war zone is a way to feed the greed of MSM and their own. The reporters lust for recognition, money, whatever is the way to feed their own greed. Follow up plans are to find another warm body to send to replace the cold one. I agree the MSM should be investigated on some things but not this one. If they are greedy enough to find someone greedy enough to go. Investigate them, no BUT ask why they are permitted to be embedded with troops instead. Make sure they are aware they are putting themselves in harms way and if found there can get themselves out as they are not worth putting troops in harms way to save them and will only be an after thought to normal operations. MSM and those that go do so at their own peril, if greed is that strong they will find a means, approved or not.

Media in Iraq

It is past time for the government to step in and investigate the Media Giants that are sending these men into harms way to be slaughtered for no useful purpose.

That is a strange point of view. What more useful purpose has anyone in Iraq than a free and independent press? Who will serve as a watchdog on your government? Is not the basis of democracy an informed population?
