Ray, It sounds like these are two very different scenarios: (1) Electrical failure causing power outage and loss of unsaved data. Not too worried about this especially since my main computer these days is a laptop with built in battery. (2) Lightening strike causing equipment damage -- mitigated by using surge suppressor. Also, power system is not too erratic where I live and not much lightening storm danger either. So, it sounds like I may pass and return it, even though I could probably make a quick profit on eBay. <g> Sam
