I got a few cool gifts. One of my faorites is this DVD of a commedian called Larry The Cable Guy. He's on that show called Blue Collar Commedy (or something like that). Anyhow, I watched some of the video last night and today. I tell ya the dude just cracks me up. He's a smart commedian. Not just the typical cookie cutter commedian in a tie running off silly one liners. Seems that most the memorable ones had some sort of shtick. Sam Kinneson, Rodney, Cosby, Steve Martin, BobCat, etc. LarryTCG has a good one. He's a redneck. He plays it perfectly. Many of his jokes are funny just because of the character of him saying it. I've had some serious belly laughs at some of the silliness. Sometimes it steps over the edge but he brings it back with a bout of self efacing humor. He's also tapped into that HUGE country music market like no other commedian had done before. Jeff Foxworthy tapped into it but he seemed more like he was laughing at the redneck instead of Larry's approach. I think the dude is a riot. Check him out if you see him on the tube or see this video in the discount rack. This is the one I got. amazon.com It won't be long before his act gets played out, but I'm gonna enjoy is while it isn't.
