What I have not seen discussed at length is the tremendous learning curve we have had in our international relations since 911. We have found out who is inclined to help or not, and why.

We would never have had proof of the payoff to France and Russia without the invasion.

We would not have known for years the details of the "Nukes are Us," being run out of Pakistan.

We would not have had exposed our inability to run a reconstruction program with our present military.

And the list of "lesson's learned" goes on and on.

This is going to be very valuable as we go forward.

Does he expect things to remain the same if we were to consider military action in a different situation?

One would assume so...
