Israelis arrested in Jordan confess supplying arms to Sudan rebels: radio
Monday December 27th.

KHARTOUM, Dec 26, 2004 (Sudanese radio) -- Sources involved in preliminary investigations in Jordan have revealed that the Israelis arrested by the Jordanian security forces have confessed their involvement in supplying weapons to the Darfur Region.

The mastermind in the weapons deal, Wayid A'a Mose Jolan has accepted that he runs a weapons factory in Tel Aviv and he has a consultancy office for supplying weapons to secessionist movements, special agencies and security companies.

The Jordanian officials did not disclose details of the arrest. However, sources said the security agents last week arrested two Israeli arms smugglers, including an individual working directly with Dan Yatom, youngest son to a former director of Israeli intelligence, who also served as one of the advisers in Ehud Baraq's government.

good old "organized religions"

What would those be? Christianity and its various brethren makes absolutely no sense at all. It is full of contradiction and, when taken up by religious professionals for interpretation, it becomes incomprehensible.

I would rather that no one joined anything very large or, if they had to, switched allegiances and memberships on a regular basis. Heck, even George Bush has switched sects at least three times and he still doesn't bother to go to church on any regular basis and he still doesn't have a single bit of comprehension of how un-Christian his beliefs and actions are.

IMO, the problem with people is that we think 'fundamentalism' in so many ways. Someone we believe tells us something and we don't question it. That can range from 'the earth is flat' to 'your diet should be composed primarily of white bread.'

It's our easy acceptance of these beliefs that is the problem. We either have to: get more useful beliefs or question all our beliefs on a regular basis. The problem with the nutcase evangelical fringe (in all religions and political movements) is that their beliefs suck and they never question them.
