He's somewhat right. In order to "win" this war against insurgents, our troops would have to institute wholesale indiscriminate killing, since we can't determine who the enemy is. Then rule with an iron fist. In essence, become as bad or worse than the government we replaced.

Does the US population have the stomach for that? I certainly hope not.
