I guess it is all in experience and preference. I have not found anything offered by any org better than what could be purchased in the open mkt. aarp may be subsidizing the auto rates with ad rev or just getting a deal from who ever they are with,, until a better deal comes along.

i have erie insurance. cheapest i ever found including aarp. they only take about 30% of applicants i think and not in all states.

JDN, I almost got screwed by Geico too, and avoid them like the plague. I have the Hartford/AARP on the house, and Jeep, and any time I get an offer from another company, I ask them if they can ask lower premiums than them, and they just say "thank you" and hang up.
