Hi Pompsander,

I do not have answers to your thought provoking questions but personally, I haven't seen a shortage of decent deals for the SD card format from online e-tailers. The only other observation I have is that even though the busy season for retailers is over, I am not seeing a meltdown in spot prices for nand chips. Maybe it will happen in a month or two as things slowdown in spring.

Re: Supply of SD cards. My understanding is that Toshiba and SanDisk share the production of flash cards on a 50-50 basis. If Toshiba reports a production problem and shortage, then it would seem that the shortage affects both companies, since it comes from a single facility.
