don't be a paranoid

they are just practicing

you know, perhaps coalition of the able, maybe pre-emptive defense, possibly simultaneous regime changes in Ukraine and Taiwan, could be co-prosperity in Iran (why Iran? because rich Japan gets its coal from China, oil from Russia and Iran, and so perhaps good to keep a finger on the pulse that keeps Japan ticking over, so that they think twice about setting of on yet another adventure?), possibly partnership in Africa, or just outposts in Venezuela and Cuba, to help out Brazil ... all financed by ... oops, uncle Greensputin and cousin BurnAndKaput

we just never know until we know, in the mean time, best to start practicing

imagine, as Russia and India did a joint dance, and India and China will also do some practice rounds, the next show may involve all three little countries, in a sort of group grope of the wannabies ...

besides, Canada may need defending one day by the grand coalition of the able and willing too, should its neighbor go deeper into roguesville

the French navy just did a joint exercise with the Chinese navy, what there is of it, you think they know something too?

just think, China can manufacture the Russian Sunburn carrier-killers at 1/10 cost, feature Indian software, and sport Russian warheads. and then the JV company owned by all three can export to so many homelands that needs defending

the possibilities, they are mind-numbing ;0)

like so Message 20889589

What is more interesting is the chain of events:

1) The winner of the elections has a wife that worked for Bush and is US educated. We pumped tons of money into his side. Putin, on the other hand, was trying everything possible on the other side giving tons of money and probably doing worse things.

2) We won.

3) Putin is super pissed so he goes on TV saying "We will do military exercises with the other big dictatorship - China". This kind of implies that Russia may support China going after Taiwan.

4) Powell responds today saying We are happy to see the outcome of the election and look forward to doing lots of things with the new government including military exercises.

So we are now back into the cold war although nobody wants to say it.
