I have an Oxo jar opener, the sort of triangular one, which works well. As you know, I have arthritis, too, although my hands and wrists are strong. oxo.com They have a u-shaped one that looks better. oxo.com Oxo makes good quality stuff. I don't vouch for the gravy separator, which is made in part from plastic. I had a different brand but the plastic cracked. I think glass is the way to go with these things. oxo.com

Carlin said it was Vicodin but who knows, he was a cocaine addict for years and claimed he quit by tapering off. He was pushing the envelope with his audience ala Andy Kaufman but mostly was just bluntly complaining that it was moronic to give money to Vegas Casinos and generally insulting his audience. This seemed like a fair take on him.. "Carlin is an aging old hippy who should have retired 20 years ago.
