Certainly possible, and based on previously published studies more than likely in my view.

But you certainly can't conclude anything from your naprosyn sales figures - most of this usage isn't chronic, day-in-day-out by elderly folks at risk of cardiac events. And even if it was, the effect you are looking for could easily be swamped by other changes in the general population, like increased used of statins, better control of hypertension, reduced smoking, more exercise, etc. You are talking about a pretty small effect with lots of countervailing factors - the only way to nail it down is with a large randomized study.
