Hi Coug! Thanks for all of the nice holiday wishes, and also for the compliments about Feelies. I really appreciate everything.

But I am a little worried about you! Southern California seems to be a very dangerous place weatherwise this week. When I lived there as a child, no one even had a coat. Well, you had some sort of parka to go to the snow with, maybe. But really a light sweater got everyone through the winter most days.

Now it is tornado warnings in Pacific Palisades, 18 wheelers being blown off the freeways, and record breaking cold. I remember when I was a very little girl that the lemon farmers in Claremont would burn their smudge pots to keep the groves warm on cold nights (leaving smudgy marks on our ceilings). Of course burning anything was banned soon enough with all of the smog problems. But still I remember mostly warm weather year round.

Anyway, drop by and say hi when you return from Lalaland so we all know you didn't get stuck in a blizzard or anything!
