I'm not sure what to make of the story yet. On the one hand I want a fair election (clearly we have some work to do on a national election with election ID's). On the other hand if Kerry is wrong the democrats are going to look really bad. The Washington "recount" didn't smell right. I don't care who won but that was not a good thing. Now, if we go through a recount in Ohio for the presidential election its like holding the country hostage 2 months after the fact. If this ramps up the market will tank on uncertainty so the democrats had better be right or its going to be real bad for the future of their party. The Gore issue was not good in 2000. Compound it with this (if it turns out to be wrong) and it will be problematic for the party, country and the stock market
