Good morning John,

A trailing stop loss is really just a term for moving your stop up an equal amount each day that the stock rises. I have personally never used a broker that had a function that did that for you automatically but it sounds like a neat trick and I would not be surprised in today’s technology if some brokers offered that as an option.

If yours does or if you know of one please feel free to drop their names on the thread. That would be a perfect mate for a swing trader with a day job.

i used to follow your thread a few years back and guess i got side tracked.

The old thread had a huge following and to tell you the truth it was almost a full time job but was a lot of fun. All of us made a lot of money back during the 1990s NASDAQ ride from 1500 to 5000.

Posters (some of them) began to get a little crazy when the market started to crash so I decided to shut the old thread down and finally just left SI altogether for a few years. It’s nice to come back and find people like you and the others on this thread who want to talk about stocks and investment strategies.

Welcome aboard sir.

Reid
