Robert Green's analysis (briefing.com) has often been wrong about the SDARS business. I think he had this one about right.

BOFA is relatively new to covering these stocks and is one of the newbies who has it figured out.

Sirius Satellite: long term potential favors upside - SG Cowen (SIRI) 7.86 : -- Update -- SG Cowen believes that SIRI's long-term potential favors upside. Shorter term, they believe valuation will be driven by news flow and expect next set of news during CES on January 6-9. Firm has added 5 new variables to their new DCF: Share of Net Adds, Share of Market, Churn, SAC and Ad Rev Contribution. In their best case scenario where ad revs contribute to 20% of total revs, and mkt share is 50% by 2007, SIRI may be worth as much as $11.19.

Incidentally:

B of A owns about 60 million dollars worth of XMSR so they could have a bias.
