Our goal should be a perfect system where each registered voter gets to cast their ballot. That the record can be checked and rechecked if needed so that no voter is disenfranchised.

Unfortunately there are many folks who wish to try to skew the vote by either limiting access to voting machines, writing bunk software to add votes or simply stuffing the ballot box the old fashioned way.

In all these cases I think that the penalty should be very severe with enormous fines and long long mandatory prison terms.

Let me ask you this. Do you think that the 700 or so voters in King County who properly registered, voted on time and followed all of the rules should now not have their votes counted?
