Ernie - NYER - will be a good play again. Looks like some day traders are getting killed with the rumors that it is somehow a tsunami play.

It's now down to 3.11. I'd wait to get back in, perhaps around 2.50.

Here's what CBS Maretwatch has quoting the company.

Some companies look to dampen speculation

At Nyer Medical Group Inc. (NYER: news, chart, profile), a spokesman was skeptical the company would see any significant rise in orders as a result of the disaster.

The Bangor, Maine, company operates a chain of drugstores in the Boston area, but it also has an Internet business that supplies medical products to hospitals, doctors and rest homes.

"We could [do more business], but I doubt it would be any monumental amount," the spokesman said.

The company did, however, supply medical products during another major catastrophe, selling items such as bandages and rubber gloves to emergency services after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.

Nyer Medical Group shares were last up 51 cents, or 17 percent, at $3.38, in volume of 3.2 million shares, or 44 times the average.
