I think that's generally true. I also think Officers and those higher in rank have more motivation to serve because of pay and prestige. They also are more apt to be married and have children, thus making the decisions to support war more difficult. This also helps explain why the military voted with a higher percentage for the President, than voted in support of the war according to this poll. You can bet, the primary reason military personnel voted over 70% for the President was because they supported the President's efforts against terrorism.
