One can't help but notice, when looking at the markets Tony moved on SI and on his private sites that he targeted numerous Arab-owned issues. As an Arab-American you'd might think it strange that Tony dealt such harsh blows to other Arabs like Adnan Khashoggi in GenesisIntermedia (GENI), and a fellow Egyptian from Cairo, Ramy El-Batrawi -- and also Sheikh Khaled Abdullah, whose cousin is the powerful Prince Salman, Governor of Riyadh, who also doled out charitable donations to Mercy International (Relief Agency) to Al Qaeda, Nassar's Decor venture and the bin Laden group's IRID.

On the face of it, going after IRID also meant going after the bin Ladens. Seeing Tony's families ties to bin Laden via a myriad of "relief" orgs and their directors, it seems inconsistent to be going after IRID & the bin Laden's. Tony is not gutsy guy. He's an informant for crissakes. In my opinion, IRID, like GENI, and the other Arab targets, were stock promotions. Elgindy on the short side, Khashoggi, El-Bawtri (GENI) & the bin Ladens (IRID), et al, long the stocks.

And, Tony also attempted same with his Children's trust accounts but wasn't successful and the transaction settled post 9-11.

18 U.S.C. 1961(1) states, Information warranting initiation of a terrorism enterprise investigation may be obtained during the course of a general crimes inquiry or investigation, a racketeering enterprise investigation, or an investigation under other Attorney General guidelines.

and...

Conversely, a terrorism enterprise investigation may yield information warranting a general crimes inquiry or investigation, a racketeering enterprise investigation, or an investigation under other Attorney General guidelines.

My guess is that the AUSA, Breen, yielded info warranting the current counts Elgindy is defending in the course of his terrorism investigation. It appears that, per 18 USC, that whatever info Breen is able to net in the racketeering case, he can use in his terrorism investigation. IMO, what the AUSA is doing is getting the convictions on the racketeering counts for leverage with any pending terrorist charges.

IRID, GENI, these markets were moved on SI as well as Tony's private sites. Breen obviously yielded enough evidence in the AUSA's terrorist investigation to bring the RICO forward. IMO, Breen will use what he yielded in the RICO to move the terrorist investigation to a conclusion and bring charges against Tony and his racketeering ring.
Since SI was a device for Tony's ring, I'm sure it will keep having to endure scrutiny. Those that assisted Tony, on SI, moving these markets and bullying opposing voices, appear very uncomfortable with any discussion of this and attempt to control the information on SI. The truth is, SI was at Tony's disposal and her used it to the max.

Tony seems to think that if a ‘middle’ man does all the ‘dirty’ work it gets him off scott free. Adams vs. The United States says this is not the case.

I agree. But juries are unpredictable, and I wonder what this one is going to think. I wouldn't be surprised if they're wondering why Cleveland, who appears to have been the instigator, was allowed to cop a plea.

What does surprise me is that as far as I know, Tony didn't try to get his trial separated from Royer's. Had he done that, it would have been a lot easier for him to try to blame everything on Royer and Cleveland.

I started a few boards here at SI, but with the exception of the one that's a joke, I don't consider them "mine". I have no aspirations to Gurudom.
