Funny you should mention it. I just returned from a month in Mexico. Nice gov't ridden, socialistic, share the poverty system down there. Gov't employees ALL OVER- -including soldiers and cops. So many cops they can afford to pay them nothing so they take bribes. Gave us yet another opportunity to buy a Mexican cop. Street light had a lit green left turn arrow, so I decided a left turn was OK. Sounds reasonable, right. Wrong. An old sign off to the side said "No Left". I didn't even see it (watching for the craziness that can happen on Mexican streets is a more than full time job), I turn, get pulled over. The cop decided the sign won. He wants my license and to haul me down to the stationhouse. He says the "fine" will be 400 pesos- -about $36 USD. Cost od cops is up down there. I want nothing to do with a Mexican jail. I pull it out and offer to pay on the spot. He takes it. No ticket, no receipt.

Ah, I love socialism!

I love our system better though. The cops here are well paid, have good bennies, and can retire at 25 years at 3/4 pay. They lose it all if they get nailed for corruption. gives them incentive to be honest.

Unbridled capitalism in the U.S. today is creating the most inequitable feudal system among OECD nations.
How well off do you think the average Mexican is compared to the average American? Are you nuts? How well off was the average citizen of the USSR or Poland under Communism compared to their American counterpart?

When did Britain stop being "the sick man of Europe"? Before or after Thatcher? The woman should be beatified by the Anglican Church.

The rates of infant mortality, hunger, lack of medical care and premature death are rising in the U.S., not falling.
Capitalist go up and down. So do socialist ones. The difference is that a good capitalist system has a free press that can publicize the problems. The USSR had no homeless or beggars. Or so their press claimed. Do you believe it?

If this is your idea of "wealth for all", then you are a fool.
There's a fool here and it isn't me. God save us from the likes of you.

And I'm an atheist, BTW.
