The Pentagon has just raised the threat level from an asteroid they are tracking and have declared 2029 as the probable "end of the world as we know it". Unless, of course, we drop everything and begin to massively fund their "Star Wars" programs.

This sounds suspiciously like the recent Pentagon report telling us that the imminent collapse of the North Atlantic Oscillation will lead to bands of marauding Vikings that we need to prepare against..... <grin>
