Noticed that a lof of the less entrenched Kuchma clan-members inside government and parliament switched over to Yuschenko's camp in the last 3 weeks. don'T forget the Ukraine armed forces are VERY CAPABLE. They have received extensive NATO training and can withstand any agression - they are the MOST respected institution in the country and a major unifying force. Russia can do all saber-rattling it wants. The Ukraine is no banana-republic. It will become a MAJOR pro-western force. It's also a very much pro-Atlantic force. This fact is something that is not so amusing to some anti-American "Europhiles" inside France or Germany - it created a dilemma for them as they would like Turkey to join the EU but not the Ukraine. I think Yuschenko's bold actions which so far prooved VERY SUCCESFUL have reshuffled the deck of cards completely.. as I said .. I sensed that there's history being rewritten east of us here around.. you must also know that Yuschenko's even more "staunch" and pro-Western ally, Yulia Tymoshenko (the "gas princess" as her nickname runs) is a renowned energy expert.. everything seems to align itself the way it should - finally ! check it out here: kyivpost.com yuschenko.com.ua tymoshenko.com.ua ukrnow.com rgrds CROSSY
