You have to remember there were Woads, Picts and the Celtic tribes and probably other tribes we don't know about that lived in Ireland. There was no Pan-Celtic culture. As far as the Druids go they left no written record. As far as the Catholic church being hard on women they were actually anti-woman so like I told Chuck Catholicism was a poor fit in Eire or anywhere outside of Rome.
