According to the Congressional Research Service, an independent agency, the United States is the largest aid donor in terms of dollars, but its record of donating two-tenths of 1 percent of its national economy for foreign aid makes it among the smallest donors as a proportion of what it could theoretically afford.

The US foreign Aid program is over $16 billion.
That does not include the tens of billions spent on freeing oppressed people, certain military aid and private donations.
The total far exceeds the UN guideline of .7%.

American NGOs provide far more foreign aid than any other country....approx $35 billion.

No other country comes close to matching our generosity.

But America bashing is popular now...So we all have to listen to this BS.
