In fact the failure of U.S. Treasury auctions shows how helpless the Fed and Bush will become. If Fed/Treasury raise interest to attract buyers for Treasury, then the U.S. economy is doomed. If not, Bush will be forced to cut his spending on war, raise taxes on rich, and cut federal payroll, and worse still, declare debt moratorium. The U.S. establishment must be in a panic mode now.

I think the in crowd owns COH, CCL, SBUX etc.

The Japanese are the biggest bag holders here imo.

Average Joe 6 Pk will be the ones taking it in the shorts when rates goe up on their adjustable mortgages and the money market funds go into default.

A lot of us are being punished for buying gold and not the worthless bonds.
