It reminds me of when Bush flew out to Florida after one of the big hurricanes. A reporter asked him, Won't your critics say that you rushed out here too quickly?

His answer was along the lines, "If I hadn't, they'd say I didn't get out here soon enough."

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

It still amazes me how the bashers will use any world event, such as this tsunami, to create a criticism.

They say he's being stingy. But if he had immediately pledged $1 billion in aid, they'd say he was grandstanding to prop up his image.

You know Westera if one side is balancing the boat to the right(starboard as it were ) it takes the other side leaning to the left(port ) very hard to not tip the boat over. In many instances this is what I see... The propaganda from one side... and distortions are just as gross as from the other.

So, maybe sometimes politicians jump to conclusions too quickly and out comes the rhetoric that is later distorted. The final conclusion, can one when one is wrong admit it.... and even exhibit some conciliatory remarks ? I find that those liberals are more apt to say sorry... when wrong.

Look at the debacle with the guy who was appointed Head of Security. He even faked about the Nanny and pay to avoid having the real facts released.. affairs, law suits etc. Apologize ? No.

Both parties are guilty of what you accuse one party of doing.
