Those readers are the product of 20+ years of hate-talk radio and TV encouraging all the eager dittoheads to hate and despise (and wish they could hunt down and destroy) anyone who isn't exactly like them.

The 51% dictatorship of the majority has no interest in tolerance or dissent. It's out of fashion after 9/11.

Like many other fundamental beliefs spelled out in the United States Constitution, one of the most crucial documents of our time.

I hope it survives to the next generation. And I wonder how many hate-talk show hosts discussed the poll showing 56% of the American people think Iraq was a mistake.

We are the only country I know of that changed its mind about the rightness of the Iraq campaign since the whole mess began.

There are plenty of "sick" folks out there who believe their way is the only way, and dissent simply cannot be tolerated.
And these types are the "real traitors" to our country and its culture. People must be allowed to give their views without fear, or what kind of country are they trying to "save"...
