Perhaps it looked like that then. Now there are CDMA cyberphones and Io/It is under construction, not to mention genetic engineering. Globalstar is suffusing Earth with phragmented photons and DNA is flowing in all directions at high speed. Narrow Nationalism and ignorant tribalism have had their day - there's just some mopping up to do.

There's a LOT that's new.
