Democracy's do not attack each other. People working and contributing to thier society to not become terrorists. jmho

You see I did not think we ever ever should have gone in there. Given 9/11 and the way Saddam was acting...Bush really had no choice in light of the prevailing intel estimates on WMDs in Iraq.... I though our efforts should have been on OBL.. This is a silly canard. The US efforts to capture OBL have been continuing since BEFORE the Afghan invasion......as President Biush has stated...OBL is not the only worry we have...this is a multi-front, multi-effort battle being waged. Efforts continue to the present day to hunt him down.... I also did not believe that there were weapons of MD.. Hard to understand how you reached such a conclusion given that every major intel service on the globe though he had them. Most likely this is hindsight on your part. and I did not believe that Saddam posed a threat to us. Agian, you do know that Saddma refused to comply with thew 1991 Gulf War accords and was shooting at our planes in the no-fly zones on a daily basis? Now, unless you have stayed with you biases you know now or should know that all this was propaganda or MIS information( to be kind) that has now proved to be false. And so what do we do now.? "Faulty intel assessments do not equate to "propaganda" nor misinformation". They may have been wrong.....we don't know how wrong yet.....as you may recall, with a full inspection regime in place following the '91 war....it took four years to uncover the extent of the WMD programs in Iraq...... J.

Suma, I don't know where to start. I see that others have taken you to task about your clear misperception about OBL, Iraq, WMD's, etc. You said, "I would just appreciate people being able to say that they were wrong and to take a different tact..." Unfortunately, it is you who needs to apologize & get angry at those who have lied & lied & lied to you. The reason you continue to believe in an alternate reality is your source of facts & reality..... Like Michael Moore & other left wing extremists who spew genuine propaganda, lies & intentional misrepresentations. We've been down this road multiple times Suma. Your sources openly lie & intentionally deceive purely for political purposes (for the greater good & all that BS). That is a fact. I'll gladly stack my sources of facts & reality against yours any day. Perhaps you might want to read the Iraq Survey Group's report (and the testimony from David Kay & Charles Duelfur). How about the 9/11 Commission Report? How about the Senate Intelligence Committee's Report? In them you will find that a bipartisan group of Democrats & Republicans gathered all manner of facts that prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that your assertions about OBL, Saddam & WMD's to be chock full of left wing lies & propaganda. Suma, you said, "The biggest one was is one you have all ready corrected that you once voted Democrat and often independent". How could you possibly get it so wrong? I have, with one exception, always split my ticket. I have frequently voted for Democrats & Independents for President all the way down to Dog Catcher. I have always voted for the best person for the job regardless of their political affiliation. And yes, this last election I refused to vote for any Democrats. Why? It was a protest vote, pure & simple. I am absolutely disgusted with the complete lack of morals & ethics from the likes of Kerry, Gore, Dean, Kennedy, McAuliffe, Pelosi, Soros, Moore, Sharpton, Clark, Levin, Byrd, Cleland, Clarke, Ben-Veniste, Kerrey, Edwards, Clinton, Gephardt, Daschle, Hollings, Dodd, Lautenberg, the liberal MSM, etc., etc., ad nauseam. Add to it that even the moderates among the Democratic party refuse to denounce the absolutely repugnant behavior emanating from their party & I will have nothing to do with them until they have made massive changes in their conduct & their platform.
