Exactly. Which is why I expect they are selling these
so cheaply now. Get rid of them before retooling.
Manufacturing economics are a strange thing.
In the late 1970s to early 1980s, one of the American car companies found
that a major component was total junk and often had
to be replaced 2 or more times before they got a "good one".
Cheaper to just keep replacing them under warranty
than to retool and produce good components.
(* based on my "experience" in auto parts in the 1970-80s)

However, getting back to the real question...
when you keep cutting closer and closer to the bone,
what is left for the worker?
