Applying a p-e multiple of 35.3 to our fiscal year 2006 (ending September) EPS estimate of $1.50, a premium to peers that we think is warranted by above-average growth potential, we arrive at our 12-month target price of $53.

The S&P commentary explains why the stock was down today. <g>

Jim, the Business Week article probably doesn't factor in the effect of a change in accounting for options, required by FASB beginning the second half of this year. However, the weakness in the current price probably discounts this impact.

I look at the tsunami destruction in Asian countries as another opportunity to expand on the use of wireless for ordinary and emergency voice and data communications. Many of the places affected by the tsunami are completely without infrastructure.
Reestablishing communications will be a high priority, second only to emergency lifesaving measures.

Any weakness in consumer demand in industrial nations for improved wireless communication in 2005 will be more than compensated by recent events in Asia.
