So far the major roads are open with tire chains mandatory. I can barely walk, so whether or not the ski resort roads are open doesn't really affect me. I have enough food to last a while and enough progeny in the area to fetch things or take me places if I need. Snow tires and chains will cost me over $500 if I get the tires installed. I'll try to outlast the snow without snow tires. :~)
