That's the one. If you're Premium-Plus (UserLevel 20 or higher), try it out. Click one and go to your Inbox.

This way you can read a public message but keep it in a kind of "temporary folder" so you can reply to it later. A lot easier than having to file it into a real folder and go look for it later.
